A Little-known Ability Ted Possessed

Not uncommon for a young boy, Ted developed a love of cars.  Especially hot-rods and Corvettes.  Ted told me he did these drawings while in class (I think Jr. high or even High school).   He would trace the initial outline of a car from a magazine photo then spend hours meticulously shading it in.  Due to the passion he had for the beauty of his favorite cars, he took as much care with his renderings as he did with all else he loved.

During these impressionable years, the youthful Ted engendered a love for all things Italian and actually wanted to BE Italian, as were many of his friends at that time.  Hence, he began signing his name “Greneli,” as shown in the drawings above and below.  I’m not sure how long this phase lasted, but I can attest that spaghetti vied with potatoes as a favorite meal.

These are amazing! Is there anything Ted didn’t do well?
